Patricia is a corporate director and lawyer. She recently retired as a Senior Partner of Torys LLP, a major Canadian law firm, after a distinguished career of 35 years. Her practice as a corporate/securities lawyer focused on representing Canadian, Indian and other foreign public companies and investment banks on domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, governance matters and shareholder activism. She has extensive experience in advising senior management, boards of directors and board committees on key strategic issues including acquisitions, restructurings, going public (IPO’s), management transition and risk management. Pat is currently, among other things, a member of the Board of Directors and Audit and Risk Committee of Trans Mountain Corporation, a Canadian corporation which operates a major pipeline in Canada, a member of the Ontario Chapter Executive of the Institute of Corporate Directors, and a member of the Canadian Performance Reporting Board of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada. She is also a former Adjunct Professor at University of Toronto, and she remains a member of its Environmental Finance Advisory Committee. Pat graduated from the joint MBA/.JD program at Schulich School of Business and Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto, Canada.
