Rahul Agarwal has a decade of experience in Infrastructure Financing policy & Corporate Strategy. He is the Principal Investment Specialist in Invest India, the Official Investment Promotion Agency of India. At Invest India, Rahul heads the teams for Infrastructure and a special Financial Investors Initiative which attracts SWFs, Pension Funds, and Private equity investments in India. Rahul has been instrumental in India’s first asset recycling project which saw investments of $1.5 Billion and has been working with Government and private entities across sectors to introduce new investment opportunities in the country. Rahul has previously worked as a consultant for High Level Committee on Financing Infrastructure, Planning Commission, Government of India. He has wide experience of working with policy makers to enable financing of large infrastructure needs of India. Rahul was instrumental in developing infrastructure section of the 12th Five Year Plan of the country and updating Model Concessional Agreements for PPP. Rahul started his career with Bank of America Merrill Lynch as an Institutional Derivatives Analyst where he was responsible to develop global institutional trading strategies. Rahul has also worked for a leading university of India as their Head of Strategies and Program Management. Rahul holds a Masters in Business Administration (Finance) and Bachelors in Commerce (Hons.) from University of Delhi. Rahul is also a Certified Financial Risk Manager and a Chartered Financial Analyst. Rahul also has 1000 hours of corporate trainings in the areas of Economics, Financial Management and Derivatives under his belt.
